They Started Driving 50 Hours Across the Country… Just to Meet the Ducks

This week reminded me why I started JustDuckit.
Early Thursday morning I jumped on a random call with some of the guys in the community. What began as a casual conversation quickly turned into a real plan.
One member from Texas dropped everything going on in his life, loaded his truck with power tools, and started driving — 50 hours straight to Boston to pick up another community member.
Right now the two of them are still on the road, making their way down to Tennessee. They won’t arrive until next weekend. Along the way they’ll be stopping to help people with jobs and projects just to cover gas money. No big complaints — just steady forward motion and a whole lot of commitment.
These are grown men who decided, with almost no planning, to drive across the country… for some ducks on the internet.
That’s the “JustDuckit” mindset in real life.
We talk about taking risks, not overthinking, and doing the thing even when it feels crazy or inconvenient. This week two guys from the community actually put that into action. They didn’t wait for the perfect time. They just started driving.
I also want to give a genuine thank you to the Doginal Dogs community. You sparked this trip and made the connections that turned a random Thursday call into something real. Your support and energy mean a lot. Thank you.
To everyone reading this: If you’ve been waiting on something — a trip, a project, a bold move, or even just posting that thing you’ve been scared to share — maybe this is your reminder.
The ducks are still swimming.
The guys are still driving.
And the journey is already worth it.
So whatever you’ve been hesitating on…
JustDuckit. 🦆
