Betting on Yourself: My Speaker Journey to DDNYC
A preview of my upcoming keynote at the Doginal Dogs New York City summit, exploring the mindset of leaving comfort zones to build digital assets.

In a few weeks, I will be stepping onto the stage at DDNYC (Doginal Dogs New York City) to speak in front of more than 300 developers, artists, and creators. The topic of my presentation is simple but carries years of weight: “Betting on Yourself.”
Here is a preview of the philosophy behind this talk, why leaving traditional safety nets is crucial for growth, and what to expect from the summit.
The Comfort of the Known
For years, I built a reliable career in traditional marketing management and physical event coordination. As an Assistant Director and Event Manager, I knew how to run vendor logistics, direct stage setups, and budget event timelines. It was a structured path with clear deliverables.
But there is a subtle danger in comfort: it limits your exposure to high-growth opportunities.
When you manage other brands, you execute someone else's vision. Betting on yourself means shifting the risk profile. It means taking the logistics experience you have and applying it to your own ideas, your own community, and your own digital assets.
Stepping Into Web3 Inscriptions
My pivot started when I launched Decent Ducks, which eventually led to working closely with the Doginal Dogs community on the Dogecoin blockchain.
Decentralized blockchain environments move at ten times the speed of traditional marketing:
- There are no gatekeepers; you build directly in public.
- Community feedback is instant and global.
- Immutability forces you to write clean, final code and plan activations with precision.
Stepping into leadership in the Dogecoin inscription space was intimidating at first. But by taking the event organization details I learned at Ikon Marketing and Red Mountain Events and blending them with the distribution mechanisms of digital assets, we unlocked next-level community growth.
"If you do not bet on your own capabilities, you are delegating your future value to someone else's balance sheet."
Key Takeaways from the DDNYC Talk
At the DDNYC summit, my presentation will focus on three main lessons:
- Leverage Your Background: Don't throw away your past experience; port it. Event planning coordination translates perfectly to launching digital collectibles.
- Accept the Chaos of Digital Growth: On-chain community building is dynamic. Learn to pivot quickly.
- The Power of Ownership: Building ownable digital assets (like Decent Ducks and Doginals) is the ultimate leverage.
I look forward to meeting everyone in New York! Let's connect, share notes, and discuss how we can continue to scale this ecosystem.
